Sorceror’s Apprentice Board Game

A children’s fantasy board game for 2-4 players.

My family and I designed this game with inspiration from an old TSR game that we loved when I was young, Fantasy Forest. In the Sorceror’s Apprentice, players move through the board, collecting spells and challenging monsters. Once they earn enough experience, they can challenge the Sorceress to win her treasure.

The board separates out into four pieces, which are randomized for every game, giving a different adventuring path each time. The game is diceless: on their turn, players collect cards, and use the numbers on the cards to determine how far they can move. Players are allowed to move forwards or backwards, giving them free rein of the board.

It works well for kids age 6 and up.

I designed the art for the board and the cards. Here is a close-up of one of the four board pieces.
